Some evaluations/scouting notes on prospects in Section I
Right now I have all of these players as really solid recruitable D3 prospects based on their Junior tape. I think that all of these guys have a trait or two that would interest D2 or FCS schools with continued development and strong senior performances.

CLASS 2025
State: New York
School: Horace Greeley
Kaplow out of Horace Greeley came off a Meniscus Surgery to turn in a strong season as a Junior. Kaplow plays primarily MLB and is by my evaluations a top 3 LB in the Section.
Kaplow is 6′ 200lbs and has the frame to play at 210+ at the next level, he shows solid instincts downhill. Kaplow is a straight line athlete who takes good angles and is a consistent with his fundamentals as a tackler on tape. Kaplow is a high-upside D3 prospect based on his Junior tape. However, there are some traits that will even stronger play this year Kaplow could easily garner some D2 or FCS looks.

School: Mahopac
Varley out of Mahopac is a player who really shows promising qualities on tape. Quick hands with a strong initial punch with flashes of violent finishing plays. Varley’s best trait is his upfield burst and ability to shoot gaps getting into the backfield.
Varley is only 6′ 230 which at the defensive tackle position hurts is evaluation a little bit but if you project him to the defensive end position at the next level – ideally a 5 technique in a 3 man front he falls more into a very intriguing D3 prospect level prospect.

There is less film on Cisse than many other prospects but in the film on his hudl you can piece together some intriguing traits and positional versatility.
Cisse plays a little bit of everything for Yonkers Brave but his best position is OLB. Cisse has a solid frame where he can utilize his length shedding blocks and coming off the edge. Cisse is a solid athlete who shows some explosiveness in his movements.

School: Clarkstown North
Barry who plays primarily free safety for Clarkstown North is a well-rounded D3 prospect.
Barry has solid ball skills and good instincts to close on the catch point. He has a good amount of varsity experience and has excelled as the last line of defense for Clarkstown North. His best ability is his willingness as a tackler. Barry often forced to make tackles in space is a physical tackler who does not shy away from contact.

Samuels is the biggest prospect on this list and he shows quality traits that could be utilized at the next level on the defensive line.
Samuels has a strong base with a solid natural anchor which helps eat blocks without being moved. Samuels moves well laterally and does a good job of consistently shedding blocks with his hands. A solid D3 interior defensive line prospect who also could see a future at offensive guard at the next level.
