Later that evening, he waited outside their apartment building for Chizuru to come home. At long last, it was time for the confession. In an incredibly poignant moment, Kazuya's words came from the deepest levels of his heart as he told Chizuru that she was the only one he wanted to be with.

Plot. Kazuya Kinosh*ta is dumped by his girlfriend Mami Nanami after dating for a month. He decides to rent a beautiful girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara. However, because he thinks she was inauthentic, he gives her a low rating.

His very first girlfriend, Mami, broke up with him because he would only want to makeout whenever the two were together. Any normal person would learn from their mistake and try to become a better person, yet Kazuya sees this as an opportunity to try out a rental dating app.

Characteristic of her straightforward nature, Ruka barged her way into Kazuya's life, getting involved with his family and even working the same job as him. Though Ruka can be selfish at times, she is an otherwise good-natured girl that even Kazuya admitted would be a wonderful girlfriend for most people.

Unfortunately for Kazuya, Ruka deems him as a real boyfriend in the end. Despite being declared as a 'temporary' girlfriend, Ruka keeps on boldly approaching Kazuya and tries her best to make him to be hers, not Chizuru's as Ruka notices that deep inside, Chizuru has feelings towards him.

Later she invited him to a party, after which he decided to tell her. Chizuru ultimately kissed Kazuya in front of everyone present in order prove that they're really dating for real even doing so twice to make it clear when Mami make everyone doubt that she was pretending to kiss Kazuya.

Kazuya has always loved her (Chapter 174). It may be no exaggeration to say that from this moment on, Chizuru sees Kazuya as her real boyfriend. Not only does Chizuru love Kazuya, but he also loves her (in other words, they love each other), and the Kinosh*ta family and friends think they have a genuine relationship.

Different from any other Rental Girlfriends of Kazuya, Sumi does not view her and Kazuya's time as a rental date, but rather as two friends hanging out. The scene begins in the final moments of Episode 9 with Kazuya leaving to use the bathroom, and continues as the first scene in Episode 10. As Kazuya enters the next room and heads towards the bathroom, Ruka Sarashina waits there emotionless and grabs him by the tie, initiating the one-minute-long kissing scene.

The season also ends without hinting at the two ending up together, meaning fans will have to wait for another season of Rent-a-Girlfriend to reach the narrative's conclusion. The storyline's progression comes as a disappointment for fans since the story seems to be back to square one even after three whole seasons.
